Abstract
477,787. Thermionic valves. EGYESULT IZZOLAMPA ES VILLAMOSSAGI RESZVENYTARSASAG. Aug. 31, 1936, No. 23789. Convention date, Aug. 31, 1935. [Class 39 (i)] A cathode 3 is supported at the ends by mica or other insulating plates 1a and spaced intermediately by two or more similar plates 1b, all the plates being mounted on one or more metal frame members 2, and provided with holes 6 which surround or nearly surround the cathode ; the cathode consists of a coated filament, or of a coated wire wound on a filament. The holes in the intermediate plates may consist of slots extending from the edges, and the diameter of the holes is not more than 0À3 mm. The frame members 2 are of U- section pressed to secure the plates. Two filament sections are tensioned by a spring 11, and are connected at the other end with a U-shaped member 5, which is subsequently cut at the centre to form connections. The frame may be mounted within the grid 8 so as to bear against the grid wires, or the grid may be wound on the frame.
