Abstract
439,792. Thermionic valves. EGYESULT IZZOLAMPA ES VILLAMOSSAGI R. T., Ujpest, near Budapest. June 6, 1935, No. 16468. Convention date, June 6, 1934. [Class 39 (i)] A grid particularly for use in high power electron tubes such as dissipate more than 50 watts at the anode has supports 1 of channel- or I-section, the grid wires being held on the flanges by clips integral with or attached to the support. The clips extend from the sides of the support until the grid wire is wound on, when they are pressed back to hold the wires. The supports may be of nickel, molybdenum or tungsten but the wires are of tungsten or molybdenum ; the wires may be coated with lamp-black or other substance. The spacing of the wires may be irregular, and one wire may extend over the whole grid instead of two as shown. The clips may be welded on the supports, and in a multi-grid valve at least one grid is constructed as described. The spacing of the clips may be uneven. Gold is described as a grid wire coating.
