Abstract

530,300. Thermionic cathodes. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd., and MURPHY, R. R. N. July 28, 1939, No. 21989. [Class 39 (i)] An indirectly heated cathode for a thermionic valve comprises a tubular sheet metal body A having inwardly depressed portions C forming eyelets through which supporting wires B are threaded so that the wires are held against the inner face of the body. The body A may be of copper and be about one inch in length. The wires or stalks B may be of molybdenum and be welded to the copper body at C. Specification 523,460 is referred to.
