[Classes 36 and 37.] Spirals or helices made from glass rod are stated to be suitable for use in electric lamp bulbs, thermionic valves, or rectifiers for supporting the electrodes or other elements within the valves. They may also be used for insulating purposes as the shape offers a long leakage path. The spirals may also be coated with graphite or metal for use as resistances or inductances.
