Vacuum tubes.-Two parallel filaments 12 are each surrounded by a cylindrical grid 8 and anode 3, and the electrodes .are mounted with their axes transverse to the axis of the reentrant tube, and with their supports sealed into the pinch 6. The anode may be formed from a single blank, the middle of which is spot-welded to a support. The filaments are connected in series, and the grids are connected with a single contact-pin.
