Abstract
209,505. Robinson, E. Y. Oct. 16, 1922. Springs formed by cutting plates.-Springs 27 for tensioning a zig-zag wire grid 26 for a thermionic valve are formed integrally with a stiffening piece 28 from a single piece of material. Notches are provided for registering the loops of the zig-zag. The springs are mounted in a frame 30 clamped to glass or metal rods 21. In another arrangement a spider of spring wire or sheet metal is used. Specifications 195,691 and 205,613, [Class 39 (i), Electric lamps, Arc &c.], are referred to.
