Abstract

Vacuum tubes.-In electric discharge tubes, such as radio valves, in which the filament, grid and anode are all carried by supports mounted in the pinch as described, for example, in Specification 126,658, the grid 11 is wound on two horizontal parallel support-wires 12 spaced apart and carried on a single fnrk-shaped upright support-wire 10 and the anode 7 is slotted as at 9 to receive the wire 10. The cathode may comprise' at least two horizontal parallel filaments 1, 2 connected electrically in parallel with one pair of adjacent ends supported. on a fork-shaped wire 3, the filaments at the other ends being each connected by a spring 4, 5 to a common support-wire 6. The anode 7 is carried by a single' wire 8 and the wires 3, 6, 8, 10 are mounted in the pinch 15 and connected to the leads.
