Abstract

Vacuum tubes.-In a grid consisting of a number of vertical elements 2 of rectangular shape mounted concentrically and radially about a filament cathode 3 by clipping upon two heads 10, the elements are formed with ribs and are preferably perforated as shown at 9 or of openwork construction. The electrostatic action of the grid may be improved by mounting a helix 11 in notches in the elements 2. The anode may consist of a number of vertical parabolic vanes 1 arranged opposite the spaces between the grid elements.
