Abstract

Vacuum tubes.-An anode is provided with a raised part or parts extending towards and substantially opposite and in register with an aperture or apertures in a central electrode. The apertures 28. Fig. 1, in the grid 19 are preferably of diamond shape so that the grid resembles a diamond latticed grill. The raised parts 29, Fig. 4, of the anode 18 are of similar shape. Two such grids and anodes are mounted on each side of a zig-zag filament, and are connected at the corners by conductors 26, 25 respectively, which are suspended at the top from an arbor 12 by strands 27. the lower corners of the grids and anodes being mounted on the stem 11 by means of wires 20.
