Abstract
251,073. Bullimore, W. R. March 23, 1925. Vacuum tubes. - A thermionic valve having a grid and anode of arched or V- shaped section has an arched or V-shaped filament which is supported by a resilient device at its apex for the purpose of maintaining it in correct spaced relationship with the grid and anode. The grid h, Fig. 5, and the anode i are each in the form of a pointed arch, and they are spaced apart at their upper ends by an insulating member f which carries a resilient support g connected to the apex of the filament a. Instead of being V-shaped, the filament may be of spiral formation with a circular, oval, or flat sided cross section, the grid and anode being correspondingly shaped. Specifications 197,853 and 233,045 are referred to.
