Abstract

529,881. Thermionic valves. MARCONI'S WIRELESS TELEGRAPH CO., Ltd., and YOUNG, A. J. June 9, 1939, No. 17017. [Class 39 (i)] In multi-grid electron discharge tubes, particularly radio-frequency pentodes, the electrode assembly is mounted at the end remote from the seal by means of a slotted insulator S, of steatite &c. and the anode 7 and control grid 3 are screened from one another by a shield 6, Fig. 5, with lugs 6a passing through the slots. A similar insulator may be provided at the end of the mount adjacent the seal.
