493,907. Electron - beam valves. MARCONI'S WIRELESS TELEGRAPH CO., Ltd., RUST, M., and BRETT, G, F. Feb. 11, 1937, No. 27449/38. Divided out of 493,614. [Class 39 (i)] An electron-beam valve which comprises, as described in Specification 467,573, an electron gun, consisting of a cathode 1, control electrode 2, accelerating electrode 3, and a suppressor electrode 4, a slotted anode 5, Fig. 1, and a collector electrode 10, is provided with a suppressor electrode 11. The slot in the electrode 11 is wider than that in the anode 5 and the electrodes 5, 11 are closely adjacent. In another form, the collector electrode 10, Fig. 2, is arranged within cylindrical suppressor and accelerating electrodes 11<1> 12<1>. Values of the potentials on the electrodes are contained in the Specification. Specification 403,973 also is referred to.
