Abstract
444,559. Thermionic valves. VEREINIGTE GLUHLAMPEN UND ELECTRICITATS AKT. - GES., Ujpest, near Budapest. June 19, 1934, No. 18127. Void [Abridged as open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Dec. 21, 1934]. [Class 39 (i)] In a valve having two or more systems of electrodes in a single envelope, the anode of at least one system is connected with the cathode of another system. As shown, the anode 3 of one system is connected by a lead 7 with the indirectly-heated cathode 4 of another system and with a grid 11 interposed between the anode 6 and a grid 10 at a positive potential. The lead 7 may be inside or outside the envelope. A screen may be provided between the systems. In other arrangements: (a) the control grid 9 and the grids 10, 11 are omitted ; (b) the grid 11 is omitted ; (c) the grid 11 is connected with the cathode 1 instead of with the anode 3 ; and (d) a common heater is provided for the two cathodes.
