Abstract

170,298. Huth Ges., Dr. E. F. May 17, 1919, [Convention date]. Addition to 149,192. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Act]. Thermionic oscillation generators; thermionic amplifiers.-The oscillatory circuit of a valve for generating or amplifying oscillations is connected between the grid and the cathode, and a choking coil or high resistance is connected between the anode and the grid. As shown in Fig. 3, the oscillatory circuit 5, 6 is connected on the one hand to the cathode 1 through the main battery 8, and on the other hand to the grid 2 through a condenser 7. An iron-cored or other choking-coil 4 is inserted between the anode 3 and the oscillatory circuit. The normal grid potential may be determined by a connection to a potentiometer 9. If the main battery is placed between the anode 3 and the choking-coil 4, the condenser 7 may be omitted. The grid of a second valve may be connected to the anode 3 through a condenser or series of condensers.
