403,437. Valve generating circuits. TELEFUNKEN GES. FUR DRAHTLOSE TELEGRAPHIE, 12, Hallesches Ufer, Berlin. June 28, 1933, No. 18422. Convention date, June 28, 1932. [Classes 39 (i) and 40 (v).] A short-wave oscillator employs a screengrid valve V, the oscillatory circuit being so connected across the anode 4 and the control grid 5 that the capacity between these electrodes is the sole frequency-determining capacity in the circuit. Supply voltages are fed through chokes 2, 3 on either side of a blocking condenser 1. The Specification indicates that the screen 6 should be so placed that the ratio of screen-anode capacity to screencontrol grid capacity is the same as the ratio of grid alternating-voltage to anode alternating- voltage. The screen then does not modify the high-frequency voltages in the valve, and does not affect the anode-control grid capacity. Formulµ are given for the spacing of the grids and anodes for valves with cylindrical or with plane electrodes.
