Abstract
354,533. Prismatic reflectors. HOLOPHANE, Ltd. and ENGLISH, S., Holophane House, Elverton Street, Vincent Square, London. July 28, 1930, No. 22674. [Class 75 (ii).] In a totally-reflecting prism, the hypotenuse surface, on which the light is incident, is curved in section, and the reflecting surfaces are also curved, so that an increased latitude in direction for the incident rays is obtained without loss of light by refraction at the reflecting surfaces. The curvature of the reflecting surfaces is such that any ray incident on the hypotenuse surface in a direction parallel to the line bisecting the apex angle of the prism, is returned so that the emergent ray is parallel to the incident ray.
