Abstract
412,579. Optical-projection apparatus. BORWELL, D., 35, Lansdowne Street, Darlington, and BUNCE, J., 375, Geneva Road, East Darlington. Dec. 28, 1932, No. 36657. [Class 97 (i).] Two curved reflectors are provided in the lamp house, the lower and larger one 1 facing the gate 4 with its vertex and optical axis 5 above the axis of the gate and lens 9, and the other reflector 2 being above, behind, and close to, the light source 7, and with its axis offset therefrom. The reflectors may be parabolic and of short focus ; the smaller one 2 may be a plano-convex lens silvered on the convex side, may be mounted in the lamp bulb as indicated at 12, or may be formed by silvering the lamp bulb. The reflectors may be fixed, if projector lenses of one focal length are used, or, if lenses of different focal length are used, the reflector 1 may be adjustable both in the direction of the lens axis and in inclination.
