731,759. Optical sighting devices. SVENSKA ACKUMULATOR AKTIEBOLAGET JUNGNER. May 18, 1953 [June 30, 1952], No. 13947/53. Class 97 (1). In a reflecting sight in which the object is viewed directly through a transparent plate inclined to the line of sight and reflecting .an image of a sight mark into the eye, a projection lens is provided to project an image of a sight mark, illuminated by means of a condenser, into the focal plane of a second objective from which light passes to the eye by reflectors in the photo to form an image of the sight. mark at infinity. As shown, the mask 6 is illuminated by a lamp 8 and a condenser 10, an image of the mark being formed by an objective 7 on the matted surface 4 of a lens 5. The surface 4 is in the focal plane of a concave mirror I which reflects light to the eye 3 by way of the transparent plate 2 through which the object is seen with an image of the mask superposed thereon. A number of marks 6<SP>1</SP> may be carried on a disc 11 rotatable about an axis 12 to change the mark, or the mask may be rotatable about an axis passing perpendicularly through the axis of the objective 7. The surface 4 may be so matted as to produce a greater spreading of light at its centre than at its edges.
