431,371. Telescopes. AKT.-GES. C. P. GOERZ OPTISCHE ANSTALT, Pressburg, Bratislava, Czecho Slovakia, and MAURER, M., Klosterneuburg, near Vienna. Oct. 30, 1934, No. 31129. [Class 97 (i)] An attachment for a telescope, to enable an aiming mark to be projected into the field of view, comprises a casing placed on or in the objective tube and containing the optical elements necessary for projecting the mark into the image plane of the telescope. In the form shown, the telescope comprises an objective 2, reversing prism 3 and eyepiece 4. The attachment 5 has an extension 5a passing over the objective tube 1, and contains a partially reflecting prism 6, a projection objective 7, and an aiming mark Z on a plate 8, the mark being in the focal plane of the objective 7. The mounting 9 for the plate 8 is preferably rotatable about the axis of the tube 5, and may be provided with a scale.
