Abstract

322,460. Aldis, A. C. W. Sept. 4, 1928. Telescopes.-To provide a wide angle of view and an erect image in that type of sighting telescope having little or no magnification and comprising a pair of telescopes with adjacent objectives, each of the eyepieces a is constructed of three chromatically uncorrected and closely associated simple lenses 1, 2, 3, Fig. 2. The outer lenses are approximately plane-convex and the inner lens approximately double-convex. To facilitate use one of the telescopes is provided with a doubly-reflecting prism c as shown. Numerical data of the eyepiece combination are given in the Specification.
