Abstract

309,749. Hasselkus, J. W., and Richmond, G. A. April 30,1928. Telescope systems.-In order to provide better correction of the aberrations in a telescope having a considerable angular field the objective system comprises three lenses, namely, a positive lens on each side of a strongly negative lens, the system being over-corrected as regards coma and astigmatism. This objective is used in conjunction with an erecting system which is undercorrected so that a flat image free from aberrations is formed. Numerical data are given in the Specification of a system giving a flat field of 25‹.
