Abstract
405,612. Photographic cameras. BARR & STROUD, Ltd., and FRENCH, J. W., Caxton Street, Anniesland, Glasgow. July 26, 1932, No. 21019. [Class 98 (i).] In multiple objective cameras for photographing large areas of ground &c. and comprising a number of objectives adapted through the medium of reflecting prisms to produce on a common focal plane within the camera images of areas viewed obliquely, the prisms are composed of dense glass, e.g. flint glass of refractive index 1.62. In the construction shown in Fig. 12 there is a central objective 48 viewing the ground normally and a number of objectives such as 49 disposed round the central objective and each having a prism P for reflecting oblique views into it. The objective 49 is adjustably mounted by means of a flange 65 in a common carrier 66 for all the objectives. The prisms P are mounted on an annular holder 74 secured to the objective carrier. 66. In order to permit of adjustment of the prisms, projections 67 thereon are held by clamping bars 69 upon a plate 68 adjustable relatively to the holder 74. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 213,001, [Class 98 (i)].
