Abstract

407,162. Vehicle &c. lamps. TRIPPE, G., 1731, Belmont Avenue, Chicago, U.S.A. Dec. 30, 1932, No. 36896. [Classes 75 (ii) and 75 (iv).] Reflectors.-A headlight or other lamp comprises an outer parabolic reflector 1 and an inner auxiliary reflector 2 having a shorter focal length than the outer reflector, the inner reflector having its focus substantially at the filament 9 of the lamp bulb, and the outer reflector 1 having its focus behind the filament. A vertically fluted lens 3 is placed in front of the reflectors 1, 2. The reflector 2 is pivotally suspended on a collar 7 on the lamp socket 5, and is adjusted by means of a screw 11 passing through a metal lug 10 on the collar 7. Spring fingers 12 hold the reflector 2 in the adjusted position.
