Abstract

287,729. Holophane, Ltd., and English, S. April 14, 1927. Pavement lights; prisms for glazed gratings.- A pavement light is provided with a 45‹ prism 10 on its under surface and the vertical surface of the prism is formed with a series of refracting prisms 11 adapted to depress the emerging beams on to a line focus at a point 12 below the lowest point of the prism and to the front thereof. Beyond the point 12, the beam diverges between directions approximately horizontal and at an angle of 35‹ to the horizontal.
