Abstract

339,415. General Electric Co., Ltd., and Oliver, D. A. Oct. 16, 1929. Thermionic amplifiers. - A thermionic amplifier comprises a pentode or screened-grid valve 4 connected to a circuit 1 the impedance of which increases with the frequency, and an ohmic resistance 5 shunted across the output terminals. The impedance may be a loud-speaker and a condenser may be connected in parallel with the resistance. The value of the resistance is such that the dynamic characteristic of the valve lies within the limits of anode voltage consistent with the absence of serious distortion. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 341,403, [Group XL].
