Abstract
322,474. Marks, Sir G. C., (Daimler- Benz Akt.-Ges.). Sept. 3, 1928. Cylinders receiving liquid fuel.-The conduit connecting the pre-ignition chamber f with the compression space of the cylinder is provided with a liner h acting as a vaporizer and carrying a cylindrical plug g of refractory material terminating in. a flat conical part adjacent the conical bottom of the liner h. The plug g, which is replaceable, is carried by a disc i provided with narrow supporting arms m. Fuel without air is supplied by the injector c and, after preliminary ignition, flows through the liner h and narrow passage k, and is injected through the conical annular gap into the compression space.
