Magnetic instruments; diaphragms.-A conical or similarly shaped diaphragm 1 is driven by a coil 3 located in the annular air gap of a magnet 5, 6 and is supported by spiders 8, 9 of flexible material such as paper mounted on a shaft 7 which may be screwed or otherwise fixed to the polepiece 5.
