312,756. Dufort, C. J. Nesbitt-, and O. & S. Oilless Bearing Co., Ltd. April 13, 1928. Loud-speakers; magnetic instruments; diaphragms.-A moving-coil loud-speaker is provided with a, plurality of coils a, Fig. 1, attached to a diaphragm b of card, metal foil, moulded material &c., the diaphragm, in addition to being suspended by peripheral strips of thin leather b' in a suitable frame f, being also centred by a light tube or rod g secured to the centre of the diaphragm and after passing through the magnet system, connected to a spider or string system h, Fig. 3. The coils, which may be connected in series or parallel, project into gaps d formed between the poles of opposite polarity of a compound electromagnet or permanent magnet, e being the common pole of one polarity and c<1> - - e<4> the poles of opposite polarity.
