Jib cranes.-Relates to a slueing crane comprising a horizontal or inclined jib d movable in the direction of its length between rollers f, g, h, i in the framework. The load rope passes from the hoisting drum or guide pulley s directly to a sheave p on the jib which is vertically above s when the jib is in mid-position. For level luffing, the sheave p may be movable in the jib so as to travel in a circular arc with centre s. The movement of the jib is limited by stops and the centre of gravity is always between the pulleys f, g.
