Abstract
An office building construction (10) comprises a plurality of floor areas (9,) disposed one on top of the other. The floor areas are defined by front and rear walls (11, 12) and left and right side areas (13, 14). At least one of the floor areas includes a plurality of workstation groups (15) each comprising four workstations (W) separated by transverse partition members (16). The remainder of the floor area is occupied by offices (17, 18) located adjacent the front and rear walls respectively. <IMAGE>
Description
An Office Building Construction
The present invention relates to an office building construction.
According to the present invention there is provided an office building construction comprising a plurality of floor areas disposed one on top of the other, said floor areas being defined by front and rear walls and left and right side areas, at least one of said floor areas including a plurality of workstation groups each comprising four workstations separated by transverse partition members, the remainder of the floor area being occupied by offices located adjacent the front and rear walls respectively.
Preferably the floor area further includes storage cabinets disposed between the office areas and the workstation groups.
An embodiment of the invention will now be described, by way of example, with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which:
Figure 1 is a plan view of a ground floor of an office building construction according to the invention;
Figure 2 is a plan view of a first floor of the office building construction according to the invention; and
Figure 3 is a plan view of a portion of a second floor of the office building construction according to the invention
Referring now to the drawings wherein similar numerals have been used to indicate like parts, there is shown an office building construction generally indicated at 10 according to the invention. The office building 10 comprises three floor areas disposed one on top of the other. A ground floor area 9 is defined by front and rear walls 11 and 12 and left and right side areas 13 and 14 respectively.Access to the ground floor area 9 and subsequently the rest of the office building 10 is provided through a door 8 located in the front wall 11.
The ground floor area 9 includes a plurality of workstation groups 15 each comprising four workstations
W separated by transverse partition members 16. The remainder of the floor area is occupied by offices 17 and 18 located adjacent the front and rear walls 11 and 12 respectively. Storage cabinets 19 are dispersed between the office areas 17, 18 and the workstation groups 15.
The first floor area 9' is substantially the same shape as the ground floor area 9, Figure 2.
Communication between the two floor areas 9, 9' is provided by a lift and stairs (not shown). The floor area 9' includes groups of workstations 15 as before located adjacent the front wall 11, with the remainder of the floor area 9' occupied by office areas 17 and 18 located adjacent the front and rear walls 11 and 12 respectively.
The second floor area 9", a portion of which is shown in Figure 3, includes an office area 19 which further includes a workstation group 20 comprising four individual workstations W separated by transverse partition members 21.
Claims (3)
1. An office building construction comprising a plurality of floor areas disposed one on top of the other, said floor areas being defined by front and rear walls and left and right side areas, at least one of said floor areas including a plurality of workstation groups each comprising four workstations separated by transverse partition members, the remainder of the floor area being occupied by offices located adjacent the front and rear walls respectively.
2. An office building construction according to Claim 1 wherein the floor area includes storage cabinets disposed between the office areas and the workstation groups.
3. An office building construction substantially as hereinbefore described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
