Abstract

An office building construction has a floor area defined by boundary walls comprising front and rear walls and left and right side walls. The floor area communicates externally of the office building through entrance areas disposed adjacent opposite walls of said floor area.

Description

An Office Building Construction The present invention relates to an office building construction.

According to the present invention there is provided an office building construction having a floor area defined by boundary walls comprising front and rear walls and left and right side walls, said floor area communicating externally of the office building through entrance areas disposed adjacent opposite walls of said floor area.

Preferably, the entrance areas are disposed diagonally opposite one another, at least one of which being adjacent a corner of the floor area.

An embodiment of the invention will now be described, by way of example, with reference to and as illustrated in the accompanying drawing, which is a plan view of a ground floor of an office building construction according to the invention.

IE 930328 - 2 Referring now to the drawing, there is shown an office building construction generally indicated at 10 according to the invention. The office building 10 comprises a floor area 9 defined by boundary walls including front and rear walls 11,12 respectively, a left side wall not shown and a right side wall 13.

The floor area 9 communicates externally of the office building 10 through adjacent entrance areas 23.

The entrance areas 23 are disposed adjacent opposite walls 11,12 and diagonally opposite one another, with one area 23 being adjacent a corner 14 at the intersection of the front and right walls 11,13 respectively. Doors 17 provide communication between the floor area 9 and the respective reception areas 23 while larger main doors 18 provide communication between the reception areas 23 and the area outside the office building 10.

The floor area 9 comprises a plurality of offices 20 disposed about the periphery of the floor area 9 adjacent rear and right side walls 12,13 respectively. Larger offices 21 are located adjacent corners 14,15,16 at the intersection of front and right side walls 11,13, rear and right side walls 12,13 and rear wall 12 and reception area 23 respectively.

The remainder of the floor area 9 comprises groups of individual workspace modules W disposed towards the right side of the floor area 9; and groups of functional rooms such as toilets 22 and rooms 24 disposed towards the left side of the floor area 9.

1. An office building construction having a floor area defined by boundary walls comprising front and rear
