Abstract

The invention relates to an office structural system comprising a building structure having a plurality of floors. The office building having several stories with front and rear walls (10, 11), sidewalls (12, 13), and external stairway (14), adjacent sidewalls (12), and an internal stairway (15) adjacent side wall (13). Each floor area has a plurality of rooms (16) and a plurality of workstations (17) defined by partition members (18). (Figure 1)

Description

The present invention relates to an office structural system.
According to the invention there is provided an office structural system comprising a building structure having a plurality of floor areas disposed one above the other, said floor areas defined by boundary walls comprising front and rear walls and left and right side walls, a first stairway adjacent to the left sidewalls and connecting the floor areas together, said first stairway being arranged externally of the floor areas, a second stairway adjacent to said right sidewall said second stairway arranged internally of said floor areas, each floor area having a plurality of rooms and a plurality of workstations defined by partition members.
An embodiment of the invention will now be described, by way of example, with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which: Figure 1 is a plan view of a first floor of an office structural system according to the invention; and Figures 2 to 4 are plan views of a second, third and fourth floors of an office structural system which are disposed above the first floor of Figure 1.
Referring now to the drawings there is shown therein an office structural system comprising four floor areas (Figures 1 to 4) supported one above the other in conventional manner. The floor areas are defined by boundary walls comprising front and rear walls 10, 11 respectively and left and right side walls 12, 13 respectively. A first stairway 14 is disposed adjacent to said left sidewall 12 and connects the floor areas together. The first stairway 14 is arranged externally of the floor areas as shown. A second stairway 15 is provided adjacent to said right sidewall 13 said second stairway being arranged internally of said floor areas.
A plurality of rooms 16 are provided along the front wall 10 of the first floor area (Figure 1) and a plurality of workstations 17 are disposed adjacent to said rear wall 11. The workstations 17 are defined by a plurality of partition members 18 which may be assembled in conventional manner to achieve the optimum usage of space and provide a desirable arrangement of accommodation for office staff. Thus, each of the workstations will comprise a table top (not shown) and a chair (not shown) for office personnel with the partition members 18 providing a degree of privacy for each person.
A second floor area (Figure 2) is disposed above the first floor area (Figure 1) said second floor area having a plurality of workstations 17 disposed adjacent to said front wall 10 and plurality of rooms 16 disposed adjacent to said rear wall 11. A third floor area (Figure 3) is disposed above said second floor area (Figure 2) the third floor area having at least two 5 rooms 16 adjacent to said front wall 10 and a plurality of workstations 17 disposed adjacent to said rear wall 11. A fourth floor area (Figure 4) is disposed above said third floor area (Figure 3) and has at least two rooms 16 disposed adjacent to said front and rear walls 10, 11 and a plurality of workstations 17 disposed adjacent said front and rear walls.
