Abstract
The invention provides an office construction comprising a first pair of left and right parallel side walls 12, 13 and a second pair of loft and right parallel side walls 14, 15 projecting angularly from the first pair of side walls 12, 13. A first end wail 16 joins the first pair of side walls 12, 13 and a second end wall 17 joins the second pair of side walls 14, 15, the side walls 12, 13, 14, 15 and end walls 16, 17 defining an angular floor area 11. A plurality of rooms 18 are arranged along the left side walls 12, 14 and a plurality of modular workstations 22 are arranged along the right side walls 13, 15. <IMAGE>
Description
ELONGATE OFFICE CONSTRUCTION
The present invention relates to an elongate office construction.
According to the invention there is provided an elongate office construction comprising a first pair of left and right parallel side walls, and a second pair of left and right parallel side walls projecting angularly from the first pair of side walls, a first end wall joining the first pair of side walls and a second end wall joining the second pair of side walls, the side walls and end walls defining an angular floor area, a plurality of rooms arranged along the left side walls, and a plurality of modular workstations arranged along the right side walls.
An embodiment of the invention will now be described, by way of example, with reference to the single accompanying drawing, which is a plan view of an elongate office construction according to the invention.
Referring now to the drawing there is shown therein an elongate office construction generally indicated at 10 according to the invention. The office construction 10 comprises a first pair of left and right parallel side walls 12, 13 respectively and a second pair of left and right parallel side walls 14, 15 respectively projecting angularly from the first pair of side walls 12, 13. A first end wall 16 joins the first pair of side walls 12, 13 and a second end wall 17 joins the second pair of side walls 14, 15, the side walls 12, 13, 14, 15 and end walls 16, 17 defining an angular floor area 11.
A plurality of rooms 18 are arranged along the left side walls 12, 14. A first stairway 19 is provided adjacent to the first end wall 16 and the first left side wall 12. A second stairway 20 is provided approximately midway along the second left side wall 14 and a lift 21 is provided adjacent to the second stairway 20.
A plurality of modular workstations 22 are arranged adjacent to the first right side wall 13 and the second right side wall 15. The workstations 22 comprise a plurality of partition members 23 of conventional modular construction which are constructed to provide a plurality of private booths 24 each as a workplace for a person. It will be appreciated that each booth 24 will have a chair (not shown) and table top (not shown).
Further, a number of rooms 30 are also provided along the second right side wall 15 and adjacent to the second end wall 17.
Claims (4)
1. An elongate office construction comprising a first pair of left and right parallel side walls, and a second pair of left and right parallel side walls projecting angularly from the first pair of side walls, a first end wall joining the first pair of side walls and a second end wall joining the second pair of side walls, the side walls and end walls defining an angular floor area, a plurality of rooms arranged along the left side walls, and a plurality of modular workstations arranged along the right side walls.
2. An elongate office construction as claimed in
Claim 1, wherein a first stairway is provided adjacent to said first end wall and said first left side wall.
3. An elongate office construction as claimed in
Claim 2, wherein a second stairway is provided approximately midway along said second left side wall and a lift is provided adjacent to said second stairway.
4. An elongate office construction substantially as hereinbefore described with reference to and as illustrated in the accompanying drawing.
