Description

The present invention relates to an office partition arrangement.

According to the invention there is provided an office partition arrangement comprising a rectangular floor area defined by boundary walls comprising front and rear walls and left and right side walls, a plurality of rooms arranged along said front wall, and a plurality of rooms arranged along said right side wall, a first set of modular workstations disposed adjacent to said right side wall in a substantially enclosed region defined by a partition member which also defines an entrance region.

An embodiment of the invention will now be described, by way of example, with reference to and as illustrated in the accompanying drawing, which is a plan view of an office partition arrangement according to the invention.

Referring now to the drawing, there is shown therein an office partition arrangement generally indicated at 10 according to the invention. The office partition arrangement 10 comprises a rectangular floor area 11 defined by front and rear walls 12, 13 respectively and left and right side walls 14, 15 respectively. As shown, a plurality of rooms 16 are arranged along the front wall 12 and a plurality of rooms 16 are arranged along the right side wall 15. A first set of modular workstations 17 are disposed adjacent to the right side wall 15 in a substantially enclosed region 18 defined by a partition member 19 which also defines an entrance region 20.

The partition member 19 comprises a first boundary wall 21 which is generally parallel to the right side wall 15 and second and third boundary walls 22, 23 connected in conventional manner to the boundary wall 21. As shown, the second and third boundary walls 22, 23 converge towards each other in a direction towards the right side wall and define the entrance region 20. Two modular workstations 17 are provided adjacent to the first boundary wall 21, four workstations 17 are provided adjacent to the second boundary wall 22 and at least two workstations 17 are provided adjacent to the third boundary wall 23.

The first set of workstations 17 are further defined by partition members 25 of conventional modular construction which are constructed to provide the workstations 17 as private booths each as a workplace for a person. It will be appreciated that each workstation 17 will have a chair (not shown) and a table top (not shown).

A second set 26 of modular workstations 27 in the form of a two by two array are defined by partition members 28 and are arranged adjacent to said left side wall 14, to define private booths similar to the workstations 17. Additional partition members 29 are arranged throughout the region of the floor area 11 as shown to define workstations W which provide for the optimum usage of office space around the region 18.

Claims

CLAIMS :

1. An office partition arrangement comprising a rectangular floor area defined by boundary walls comprising front and rear walls and left and right side 5 walls, a plurality of rooms arranged along said front wall, and a plurality of rooms arranged along said right side wall, a first set of modular workstations disposed adjacent to said right side wall in a substantially enclosed region defined by a partition member which also 10 defines an entrance region.

An office partition arrangement as claimed in Claim 1, wherein the partition member comprises a first boundary wall which is generally parallel to said right side wall, and second and third boundary walls connected 15 to said first boundary wall, the second and third boundary walls converging towards each other in a direction towards said right side wall and defining the entrance region.

An office partition arrangement as claimed in 20 Claim 2, wherein two modular workstations are provided adjacent to said first boundary wall, at least four workstations are provided adjacent to said second boundary wall and at least two workstations are provided adjacent to said third boundary wall. 25

4. An office partition arrangement as claimed in Claim 3, wherein a second set of modular workstations in the form of a two by two array are arranged adjacent to said left side wall.
