Abstract

An office building construction (10) comprises a floor area (9) defined by front and rear (11, 12) and left and right side walls (13, 14). The floor area includes a plurality of workstation groups (15) disposed in a row running parallel to the rear wall. The floor area further includes an area in the region of the right side and front wall which is substantially void.

Description

The present invention relates to an office building construction.
According to the present invention there is provided an office building construction comprising a floor area defined by front and rear and left and right side walls, said floor area including a plurality of workstation groups disposed in a row running parallel to the rear wall, said floor area further including an area in the region of the right side and front wall which is substantially void.
Preferably, at least one workstation group includes four individual workstations separated by transverse partition members.
Further preferably, storage cabinets are located close to each of the workstation groups.
An embodiment of the invention will now be described, by way of example, with reference to the accompanying drawing which is a plan view of an office building construction according to the invention.
Referring now to the drawing, there is shown an office building construction generally indicated at 10 according to the invention. The office building 10 comprises a floor area 9 defined by front and rear and > left and right side walls 11, 12, 13 and 14 respectively. Access to the floor area 9 from outside the office building 10 is provided through a doorway 8 in the right side wall 14.
The floor area 9 includes a plurality of workstation 5 groups 15 disposed in a row running parallel to the rear wall 12. Each workstation group 15 includes two or four individual workstations W separated by transverse partition members 16. Storage cabinets 18 are located close to each of the workstation groups 15.
An area in the region of the right side and front walls 14 and 11 respectively is substantially void.

CLAIMS : ยป
1. An office building construction comprising a floor * area defined by front and rear and left and right side 5 walls, said floor area including a plurality of workstation groups disposed in a row running parallel to the rear wall, said floor area further including an area in the region of the right side and front wall which is substantially void.
2. An office building construction according to Claim 1 wherein at least one workstation group includes four individual workstations separated by transverse partition members.
3. An office building construction according to Claim 1 or 2 wherein storage cabinets are located close to each of the workstation groups. 20
4. An office building construction substantially as hereinbefore described with reference to the accompanying drawing.
