Abstract

The invention provides an office partition system comprising a rectangular floor area defined by boundary walls including front and rear walls 12, 13 respectively and left and right side walls 14, 15 respectively. A plurality of rooms 16 are arranged adjacent to the rear wall 13. A first set of modular workstations 17 are arranged adjacent to said front wall 12 and the left side wall 14. A second set of modular workstations 20 are arranged adjacent to the front wall 12 and on the opposite side of said first set of workstations from said left side wall 14.

Description

The present invention relates to an office partition system.

According to the invention there is provided an office partition system comprising a rectangular floor area defined by boundary walls, comprising front and rear walls and left and right side walls, a plurality of rooms arranged along the rear wall, a first set of modular workstations arranged adjacent to said front wall and a left side wall, a second set of modular workstations arranged adjacent to said front wall, and on the opposite side of said first set of workstations from the left side wall.

An embodiment of the invention will now be described, by way of example, with reference to the single accompanying drawing, which is a plan view of an office partition system according to the invention.

Referring now to the drawing there is shown therein an office partition system generally indicated at 10 according to the invention. The office partition system 10 comprises a rectangular floor area 11 defined by front and rear walls 12, 13 respectively and left and right side walls 14, 15 respectively. As shown, three rooms 16 are arranged along the rear wall 13.

A first set of modular workstations 17 are arranged adjacent to the front wall 12 and left side wall 14. The set of workstations 17 comprise a plurality of partition members 18 of conventional modular construction which are constructed to provide a three by two array of private booths 19 each as a workplace for a person. It will be appreciated that each booth 19 will have a chair (not shown) and table top (not shown). A second set of modular workstations 20 is also provided adjacent to the front wall 12 and on the opposite side of said first set of workstations 17 from the left side wall 14. Thus, as shown, the second set of workstations 20 are side by side with and similar in construction to the first set of workstations 17.

Further, a two by two array of workstations 21 are located in the central region 22 of the floor area 11. Also, two additional sets of workstations 23 are located adjacent to the right side wall 15, the workstations 23 being similar in construction to the first set of workstations 17 except that the workstations 23 are arranged in a two by three array. As shown, an additional four workstations 24 are provided adjacent to the front wall 12, and two additional sets of three side by side workstations 25 are provided in front of the rooms 16.

Claims

CLAIMS :

1. An office partition system comprising a rectangular floor area defined by boundary walls, comprising front and rear walls and left and right side 5 walls, a plurality of rooms arranged along the rear wall, a first set of modular workstations arranged adjacent to said front wall and a left side wall, a second set of modular workstations arranged adjacent to said front wall, and on the opposite side of said first 10 set of workstations from the left side wall.

2. An office partition system as claimed in Claim 1, wherein the first and second sets of modular workstations each comprise a plurality of partition members constructed to provide a three by two array of 15 private booths.

3. An office partition system as claimed in Claim 1 or 2, wherein two additional sets of workstations are located adjacent to the right side wall, each additional set of workstations being arranged in a two by three 20 array.

4. An office partition system substantially as hereinbefore described with reference to and as illustrated in the accompanying drawing.
