Water-tube boilers.-A boiler has a rear steam and water drum A divided into two compartments by a longitudinal partition 3, a rear water drum B, and a front water drum C divided into two compartments by a longitudinal partition 8. The two compartments of the steam and water drum are connected to one compartment 6 of the front water drum by tubes 9, 10, and the other compartment 7 of the front water drum is connected to the rear water drum by tubes 14 and with one compartment 1 of the steam and water drum by tubes 16, 17. The compartment 1 is connected to the rear water drum by tubes 15. Feed-water is supplied to the trough 5 fitted in the compartment 2 in the steam and water drum. The water flows through the tubes 9 into the front water drum and returns through the tubes 10 to the steam and water drum. It then circulates through the water drums and tubes 15, 14, 16, and 17. Baffles are fitted in the drums opposite the ends of the tubes. A superheater 20 is placed between the groups of tubes.
