216,172. London Electric Supply Corporation, Ltd., and Fox, A. G. Jan. 18, 1923. Water-tube boilers of the kind in which the headers are divided internally into compartments by baffles 5, 8 are provided with external tubes 1, 9 substantially parallel to the headers 2, 7 and connecting their upper and lower ends so as to provide a separate path for the water circulating through the lower rows of tubes. The baffles are mounted on brackets secured to the ends of the water tubes. The circulation of water through the upper rows of water tubes is retarded by U-shaped members 11, 12, Fig. 6, forced on to the ends of the tubes, or by other means.
