Water-tube boilers.-A boiler has longitudinal water drums B, B<1> arranged at the sides of the furnace and connected by inclined tubes C, C' with a longitudinal steam drum A, and a transverse water drum E directly connected to the steam drum by tubes G which are spaced apart throughout their length to allow the furnace gases to pass between them to the uptake I. A transverse water drum D connected to the steam drum by tubes F may be arranged at the front of the furnace. Two connected steam drums may replace the single steam drum shown. Specification 273,950 is referred to.'
