Abstract

278,741. Erie City Iron Works, (Assignees of Carlson, C. T.). June 15, 1925, [Convention date]. Water-tube boilers.-In a boiler having upper front and rear drums 1, 3 and a lower drum 2 connected by banks of tubes, a superheater 12 placed between the banks of tubes extends through a baffle 18 into the path of the furnace gases or both sides of the baffle. The baffle extends from the upper end of a baffle 17 at the front of the rear set of tubes 4<a> connecting the drums 1, 2 to a baffle 19, which extends upwards across the bank of water tubes 5 connecting the upper drums.
