Abstract

164,987. Gillette, W. W. July 30, 1920. Multitubular boilers. - An externally fired multitubular boiler has a rear multitubular auxiliary drum 15 in line with and spaced from the main drum 10 and connected thereto by inclined water tubes 17, which open into a water leg 18 depending from the front of the main drum. The drums are directly connected together by water and steam tubes 15<1>, 16. Plates 10<1> guide the hot gases across the space between the drums. The water-supply pipe 18<1> opens into the water leg.
