225,026. Evans, C. Oct. 25, 1923. Water-tube boilers. - A boiler has two lower drums 3, 4 and two upper drums 1, 2 connected together by straight tubes and arranged in such a manner that the tubes connecting the front upper with the two lower drums enclose between them the primary combustion chamber 9, and the tubes connecting the back lower drum with the two upper drums enclose between them a secondary combustion chamber 10. The upper drums are directly connected by straight tubes 12. A third upper drum arranged beyond the drum 2 may be so connected by straight tubes to the lower drum 4 as to form a further secondarv combustion chamber. Specification 8215/04 is referred to.
