[Class 123 (ii)] In a boiler having a superheater heated by burners 34 in a furnace separate from the main furnace 26 as described in Specification 484,529 the superheater 33 and its furnace is disposed between two banks of tubes 21, 22 connecting the upper boiler drum 18 to lower drums 19, 20. The gases leaving the superheater furnace pass through the main bank of tubes 21 on their way to the uptake 13. In a modification, spaced banks of vertical tubes are connected to a single lower drum.
