189,699. Alley, S. E. Feb. 10, 1922. Coiled-tube superheaters. - A water-tube steam-generator comprises front and rear headers, an upper horizontal steam and water drum 1 mounted with its ends directly in the inner plates of the headers, inclined water tubes 4, a firing opening 11 formed through one of the headers, and an outlet or outlets for the products of combustion formed through the other header. Two superheater coils 19 constitute the flues leading to the opening in the rear header. Hot gases pass radially through the widely spaced coils at the forward end and then pass axially inside the closely spaced coils at the rear end.
