Water-tube boilers; headers. - A water-tube boiler comprises front and rear water and steam drums 5, 7 connected by tubes 8, several series of water tubes 1 connected at front and rear to corresponding W or V shaped or sinuous headers 2, 3, which communicate with the drums 5, 7 by way of independent uptake and downtake tubes 4, 6 respectively. The headers 2, 3 are furnished with cover-plates for the inspection, cleaning, and withdrawing of the tubes. A single steam and water drum only may be employed.
