Addition to 263,101, [Class 123 (ii), Steam generators]. [Class 123 (ii).] In a boiler having gilled water tubes 7 connected to headers so arranged that the furnace gases pass directly upwards over the tubes in a single passage of decreasing area as described in the parent Specification, the tubes are connected on one or both sides of the boiler to horizontal headers or drums 2. Two groups of tubes are connected at one end to horizontal drums and at the other end to vertical headers 3. The drums 2 are connected to the steam drum 1 by separate downcomers 4. The vertical headers may be replaced by two horizontal drums.
