Abstract

144,167. Yarrow, H .E. Sept. 30, . 1919. U-tube superheaters. -In a Yarrow boiler, superheaters C<1>, C<2> each arranged between separated groups of tubes A<1>, B<1> as 'described in Specification 10231/10, are fitted on both sides of the boiler. The ends of each set of U-shaped superheating- tubes I<1> open into a steam drum H<1> on opposite sides of a partition h<1>. The drums of the two superheaters are so connected by a pipe K that the steam flows through the superheaters in series.
