Water-tube boilers. -In a boiler having banks of inclined tubes connected to front and rear headers, the water after circulation through the main bank of tubes B is directed by a partition K in the steam drum D through a lower bank of tubes B1, which are connected to the steam drum by downcomers L passing between the main bank of tubes and to extensions of the main upcomer headers H1. The downcomers and the lower bank of tubes are connected by one or more transverse headers A or by a drum. Specifications 13385/01, 9682/02, 1879/10, and 180,511 are referred to.
