216,479. Drying Systems, Inc., (Assignees of Lawrence, G. R.). May 21, 1923, [Convention date]. Atmospheric gas burners. - Carburetted air drawn into a chamber 57 by a Root's blower 43, 44, is supplied to a burner through two outlets, one, 16, at the top of the chamber, for the lighter charged stratum of mixture, and the other, at the bottom of the chamber for the more heavily charged stratum; by controlling the supplies from these two outlets, the composition of the mixture may be varied. The pressure in the mixture chamber 57 is controlled by an adjustable check valve 58, Fig. 8, in a by-pass passage 63, 61, 62 opening into the intake of the blower.
