1,035,560. Metal heating furnaces. ZAVODY V.I. LENINA PLZEN, NARODNI PODNIK. Nov. 27, 1964 [Dec. 23, 1963], No. 48278/64. Heading F4B. A batch-type metal heating furnace 1 with a movable hearth 18 has two rows of burners 3 arranged in each of the side walls, an exhaust duct 11 and a duct 6 for recirculation of combustion products. These are extracted from duct 11 through a flue 10 by an associated fan which delivers them through duct 6 into a chamber 4 with burners 7 before returning them to the burners 3 via conduit 5. The exhaust duct 11 has dampers and a combustion air preheater, Fig. 3 (not shown).
